Teresa Posakony's expertise and passion are the areas of change, leadership, and hosting participative processes. Teresa consults with organizations, leaders and communities, increasing their capacity for creativity, leadership, and intelligent action. Her work encourages people to take responsibility for what they care most about, resulting in stronger organizations, communities and individuals. Whole Scale Change, Circle Dialog, Open Space Technology, Organizational Learning and Living Systems Theory are integral to her work because she believes these practices and models help unleash human potential and possibility.
Teresa has 20 years experience in the fields of organizational development, leadership development, change leadership, and adult learning. She is currently a partner in two innovative consulting and leadership organizations http://advanced-approach.com and http://berkana.org.
Teresa worked for over a decade at Microsoft creating leadership programs and providing organizational development support to mid-level managers. Teresa has been engaged in community leadership initiatives for the past seven years including a global initiative inviting people to deepen their commitment and capacity to courageously lead. Her clients include: Microsoft, Social Venture Partners, Northwest Social Justice Fund, Sisters of Notre Dame, DSHS, Seattle Waldorf School, Providence Hospitality House, Spiritual Directors International, and the Center for Ethical Leadership.
She currently offers two training programs for leaders and leadership teams, in addition to custom design and consulting services:
1) The Art of Hosting and Convening Conversations, a training for people who aspire to learn and find new ways of working with others to create innovative and comprehensive solutions in their organizations and communities.
2) Leading Change: A hands on workshop enabling leadership teams to create detailed plans for a change they are leading in their organizations or group.
